DTN COMMENTS:  A few live sales are being reported in parts of the North 
at midday. Bids are on the table in the South, but they continue to be 
passed at this point. Asking prices are around $235 to $237 in the South, 
and $367-plus in the North. Packer inquiry should continue to improve 
over the next several hours.

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 355.24 -1.55, select 351.44 -
0.62) with moderate box movement (67.09 lds of choice cuts, 4.94 lds of 
select cuts, 3.90 lds of trim, and 10.36 lds of ground). Live cattle 
futures near the top of the noon hour are moderately to mostly sharply 
lower, while feeder issues are sharply lower.
